I love the employees at this Starbucks. The medical center employs thousands of people and houses hundreds of patients at any given time not counting family members or outpatients and they serve everyone with a smile. They remember a lot of people's names and usuals. Sometimes the waits are long and they do seem to always be a barista or two down, but you can never tell by their attitudes. This is a great location for friendly service by lovely lovely people!

Slow. Very, very slow. Since it's convenient I stop in often and I've learned that if more than four people are waiting, get the Pike's Place which can be served instantly. They almost always seem to have trainees, which is okay, but they should not be working the register at peak times. The staff is very friendly, which is a plus. Can't use reward stars here, but you can pay with the Starbucks app/card. Definitely not like your typical free-standing Starbucks.

When they initially opened in the hospital it was a rough start, long lines and they didn't know how to make many of the drinks. They have come a long way since then. Now he lines usually move pretty well, and it's almost similar to going to a Starbucks outside the hospital. You still can't use your reward stars here, but you can still pay with the app and accrue stars from purchases.

I like this location. I go here quite often when my mother goes to her doctor visits at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Centre, and I'll stop in and get a drink. Personally, I do like the Starbucks in Forest City better than this one, simply because it doesn't have the long lines, and the Baristas are nicer and faster, but the atmosphere is a plus, and the drinks from here are good. I have ordered many drinks from this location and have had no huge complaints, but I do have to say that the frustrating lines and slow paced and sometimes "grumpy" Baristas make me a little irritated, and it slightly annoys me.
